Course gives a taste on the fundamental skills and concepts central to successfully perform Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) analysis. The techniques taught are widely used by engineers designing or analyzing devices that interact with fluid, such as vehicles, pumps, chemical apparatus or ventilation systems.

Prerequisites:
To ensure a consistent learning experience for all students, we have established the following prerequisites for the training course:

• Some experience modeling with SolidWorks

Course Materials:
The SolidWorks Flow Simulation training guide will be supplied at the beginning of class and is yours to keep.

• Conjugate Heat Transfer
• Multiple fluids
• Customize database for units, materials (liquids,gases,solids)
• Fan curves
• Setting Engineering goals in a solution
• Porous media
• 2D planar flows
• Rotating frame of reference
• Parametric study
• Monitoring convergence
• Post –processing (vectors, contours, iso-lines, particle tracking)

At Course Completion:
Students will have a strong understanding of how to utilize the tool in SolidWorks Flow Simulation to improve their design cycles and their designs involving fluid flow.
