This 5 day course will focus on making the novice user aware of the potential uses of production-level solid modeling. The focus of this course is on the fundamental skills and concepts central to the use of SolidWorks.
Prerequisites:
To ensure a consistent learning experience for all students, we have established the following prerequisites for the training course:
- Mechanical Design Experience
- Windows Experience
- Completion of the SolidWorks Tutorial
Lack of Mechanical Design and Windows experience is difficult to overcome in the classroom environment. Students who lack one or both of these prerequisites should realize the impact that it will have on their learning experience. Also, minimal exposure to SolidWorks prior to the class can make a substantial positive impact.

The SolidWorks Essentials training guide will be supplied at the beginning of class and is yours to keep.

At Course Completion:
Students will know how to utilize SolidWorks to create production level parametric models of parts and assemblies. They will be familiar with the SolidWorks user interface, feature manager, sketching tools, and various modeling techniques.
